German Christmas Specialties

Elisen Gingerbread - the Queen of all gingerbread! NO FLOUR is added. Our family recipe uses 3 different kind of nuts. It is a traditional specialty originating from the Franconian city of Nuremberg. The Elisen Gingerbread are soft and chewy round cookies baked on thin wafers (Oblaten). 

The size is about 2.75". 

You will receive 5 gingerbread cookies - 2 chocolate glazed, 3 sugar glazed. Each cookie is decorated with Almonds.

Franconian Butter Cookies.  We use our traditional Franconian family recipe for our Butter Cookies. They have an irresistible rich butter flavor with a hint of vanilla and lemon and are just melt-in-your-mouth good. They have a golden color with soft brown edges and are tossed in extra fine cane sugar with a hint of cinnamon while they are still hot.  Each cookie is cut out by hand.  Cookie shapes may vary (e.g. stars, hearts, trees, ornaments etc.)  Exclusively available in our cookie mixes!

Fruit Piles are drop cookies which burst of flavor from candied fruits, raisins, butter and vanilla. They are dusted with powdered sugar. Exclusively available in our cookie mixes!

Marzipan Rings. These cookies feature a buttery shortcrust base and a delightful marzipan ring on top. The center is filled with fruity jam. Exclusively available in our cookie mixes!

 Linzer Cookies. A jam or jelly filled sandwich cookie with a buttery flavor and shortbread-like texture. Each cookie is cut out, filled and assembled by hand. The finished cookie is dusted with confectioners sugar. Shapes may vary. Exclusively available in our cookie mixes!

Spritz Cookies originated in Germany and the Alsace region in France. These buttery crisp cookies come in various shapes and are dipped partially in chocolate. They can be made with or without nuts. Our family recipe contains nuts! Exclusively available in our cookie mixes!

 Vanilla Crescents.  These delicate, mellow, half moon shaped almond cookies have a buttery flavor and a heavy dusting of vanilla sugar. They originate from the Austrian city of Vienna and are very common, especially during Christmas season, in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Walnut Rounds. A sandwich style, flavor rich walnut cookie filled with fruity jam. Dipped in chocolate and decorated with a walnut. Exclusively available in our cookie mixes!

Chocolate Crossies. A crunchy chocolatey treat made by combining high quality milk chocolate, almonds or nuts, and cornflakes. Exclusively available in our cookie mixes!

Marzipan Balls. Rich homemade Marzipan (made from Almonds) flavored with Kirsch Schnapps and coated with dark cocoa powder. Indulge in an intense flavor experience. Exclusively available in our cookie mixes! Contains alcohol! 

Our small cookie box contains 12 cookies. An assortment of 6 different Christmas treats, 2 of each.  Packaged in a white festive paper cookie box.

The filling of these Christmassy macarons is a gingerbread flavored milk chocolate ganache and orange jam.  The color of the macaron is brown. The price is for 12 Gingerbread macarons.

The Spekualtius Macaron is filled with a spiced cookie white chocolate ganache. The color of the macaron is off-white/beige. The price is for 12 Spekulatius macarons.

Inspired by the Italian classic! These macarons have a hidden coffee ganache center enhanced with savoiardo biscotti and encased in a velvety white chocolate - mascarpone ganache.  The color of the macaron is off white/beige and dusted with cocoa powder to coordinate with the flavor. (Coffee beans in photo are just for decorating purposes).  The price is for 12 Tiramisu macarons.

Mulled Wine Cake - A chocolatey, flavorful bundt cake with a hint of gingerbread spices and a (generous) swig of mulled wine covered with a mulled wine glaze.

Christmas Cake - This moist cake is loaded with warm winter spices, marzipan, almonds/nuts and chocolate.  A special cake for the holiday season.  Decorated with a chocolate glaze and marzipan stars.

Christmassy German Cheesecake  with a gingerbread flavored chocolate short crust, a layer of juicy mulled wine cherries and a baked Greek yogurt filling.  (Mulled wine can be substituted with cherry juice if desired.)
